"Beat Japan" Economic Simulation

GOAL: Students take the role of auto company CEOs, applying investment strategies in competition with each other (and, to their increasing surprise, Japan, which played by very different rules). Through this role-playing simulation, students enthusiastically learn basic economic principles as well as some of the particular history of US/Japan economic competition over automobile markets.

Because this simulation progressively reveals the history and reward rules which should not be available to students, it should never be displayed on a computer screen - students should not know it is on our website. Create the materials you need from these pages and print them out as needed.
